Five years before the floodwaters came, his father died. When Noah was six hundred years old, his grandfather also died. Meanwhile, the waters came and destroyed all living creatures except those inside the ark. He endured a difficult life during those six years. Although he was a righteous and wise man, he still possessed fallen human nature. After God established His covenant, Noah felt relaxed and failed to remain watchful against that fallen nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When everything had ended and the earth became lively again, Noah began to be a husbandman. Perhaps he missed his father, who had toiled in cultivating the ground. Noah planted a vineyard, which indicated that he had enough food to eat. Grapes were not his main food; they were used for making wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the one hand, Noah felt sorrow and loneliness after the flood and needed wine to ease his suffering. On the other hand, he may have been joyful and glad, drinking wine to celebrate the new era and new life. Whatever the reason, he nevertheless made a mistake, for he became drunk and was uncovered within his tent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, we should keep our hearts sober and stay away from temptation.
