Genesis 17:21-23

But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.

And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him.

If we read those verses carefully, we could find that there are many set times in almost all of God’s plans. God Elohim not only arranges what will happen, but also sets the time of something happening. God not only promised that His covenant would be established with Isaac, but also proclaimed it would happen at the set time in the next year. Obviously, everything concerning the covenant of God was managed in detail, even the birth time of Isaac.

After talking with Abraham, God went up from him. It was obvious that God was in the form of a human body. It was similar to the scene of Jesus Christ ascending to heaven. If God Elohim had met Abraham in His natural form, Abraham might have been killed by the holy light.

What Abraham did indicated that he believed in what God said to him and obeyed the commands of God Elohim. Abraham circumcised all the men in his house immediately on that same day. Abraham was a determined man who did this without any hesitation. This character was important throughout all his life, especially since the environment changed quickly in his time. A fast reaction could keep him away from many different dangerous situations.

When your conscience feels something from the Spirit of God, you should respond as soon as possible. Hesitation is one of the weaknesses of humanity. Many people lose their chance because they think over and over without acting quickly.
