Let’s continue exploring the mystery of the phrase “after his kind.”

The one and only true God is the Creator of the universe. He is eternal, forever existing, with no beginning and no end. The angels He created are also after His kind, and the fallen angels are the same (Job 1:6; 38:7; Genesis 6:2), including Lucifer, Satan. That is why they can be referred to as god or gods in some contexts. However, their fundamental essence is that they are creations, not the Creator.

Humanity is also after His kind. This is why God told Moses that he would be as God to Aaron (Exodus 4:16). God also made mankind in His image and likeness (Genesis 1:26).

Jesus Christ is uniquely different and incomparable. He is God, and equal with God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin (Matthew 1:18, 23). He is not a created being like all other creations—this truth is connected to the mystery of the Trinity, which we will seek to understand later.

So, angels, fallen angels, and humanity are all after God’s kind, yet each has its own distinct and special aspects. We fear the one true God, not the created angels.

If you hear claims that plants, animals, or any other creatures can become God—or that humanity can become one of them, as taught in some religions—those teachings are deceiving you, because they violate the principle of “after his kind.”

Likewise, if you hear someone speak of reincarnation, you are also being deceived, because no such rule exists in the family of God. The souls of human beings remain in the custody of the grave after death (Ecclesiastes 9:10), until the Great White Throne judgment (Revelation 20:11).

Therefore, treasure your life and redeem the time!
