Genesis 1:26

“And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”

In this highest conference of the universe, God declared an important assignment that He delegated to humanity: to rule over all the creations He had made, but not over humanity itself. At that time, Adam and Eve had not yet chosen to eat the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It was the biggest event in the universe, and only the Creator joined the meeting. After this conference, humanity received dominion authority and became God’s representative to manage all creation. That is why Satan deceived Eve and Adam—to indirectly reclaim the authority to rule over other creatures—because, at the level of law, he had lost his authority after God’s judgment.

In God’s original order, everyone had equal rights and represented God in executing His command.

In fact, as a human being, you should not fear other creatures—including angels and the devil—except the one true God. In the beginning, humanity had a lawful position to rule over creatures and was equal among humankind. But because of the fall and sin, humanity lost confidence and handed over its rights, becoming enslaved to other humans. Since dominion was declared thousands of years ago, everyone should gain confidence from God to live as a normal human—not a slave to sin, Satan, or evil.
