Genesis1_31

Genesis 1:31

And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Everything God made was very good in God’s eyes. In particular, Adam was made in God’s image and received dominion from God. That is why God emphasized His comment with the adverb “very.” God also provided food for humans and all animals. In the original arrangement, humanity ate only every herb bearing seed and the fruit of a tree yielding seed, while other living creatures ate green herbs as their food. It was a beautiful scene! There was no bloodshed, no war, no killing, no shortage, and no worry about survival. Humanity and all other creatures lived together in harmony. God had prepared and provided everything for His creation. I love this peaceful and tranquil world!

The phrase “every herb bearing seed and the fruit of a tree yielding seed” indicates that plants were designed to continually reproduce to sustain humanity. God cared for everything—even the smallest plants He had planned for. This is also the key to maintaining ecological balance. Organic matter cycling appeared in a different form through seeds. Every living thing had its own purpose and function to support others. What a wonderful, precise, and beautifully structured ecosystem!

From Genesis chapter one, we can also see a vast plan of God hidden in all His works. I hope that one day we will live again in the beautiful world described in chapter one.
