Genesis 3:6
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Sometimes people think they have a free mind and can reflect independently. According to the woman’s thinking, it was obvious that she simply used her mental faculties to process the information she had received. From the previous verses, Satan had cleverly placed her in a position of opposition to God Elohim. The serpent also created a connection in her mind between the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and becoming like God Elohim.
Most meanings in life are defined by how things are mapped or interpreted. For example, different sequences of zeros and ones are assigned different meanings in order to operate the computer world.
Therefore, whatever the woman thought remained inside a mental cage constructed by Satan. Since her original source of reasoning was the tree, even though she was intelligent, the only conclusion she could reach was the one Satan intended her to produce. If you begin from a wrong source (eating from the tree) and from an opposing stance, you have already accepted the higher-level setup.
Thus, the pattern of the woman’s thinking was centered on herself, similar to Lucifer (Isaiah 14:13–14). She also found reasons that seemed advantageous—such as food, beauty, and wisdom—to persuade herself. Perhaps she even listed many supposed benefits of the tree to convince Adam.
Do not let your mind be controlled by evil. Keeping a sober mind means abandoning the wrong stance and beginning with the right source—the tree of life.
