Genesis 3:11-13
And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
According to the question of God Elohim, He did not intend to punish or blame Adam and the woman. He was leading them to recognize their sin and mistakes and to turn back to God Elohim. Although God Elohim already knew what had happened to Adam and the woman, He still showed mercy and patience toward them.
But Adam responded by making excuses about the woman and denying his own action in accepting what she had given him. Meanwhile, the woman did the same as Adam by shifting the reason to the serpent. She refused to admit that she had agreed with the serpent.
As descendants of God Elohim, humans have free will. Perhaps Adam hesitated to accept what the woman gave him, but his will still agreed with it. This does not mean you can deny what you have done.
From the words of God Elohim, He revealed deep love and mercy toward humanity. Praise the true one God!
