Genesis 3:20-21

And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

After Adam heard the judgment of God Elohim, he called his wife’s name Eve. Eve in Hebrew is חוה, which means “to give life” or “to keep alive.” Because the seed of Eve would crush the head of the serpent and the head of its seed, Adam understood the promise of God Elohim. Through this promise, he grasped the gospel of God Elohim and perceived the deep meaning of Jehovah God. Even though he had only a little information, Adam understood God’s future arrangement and plan. The name he gave his wife expressed his gratitude to God Elohim. Moreover, Eve was the mother of all living, because women would bear children with pain and experience travail in childbirth.

On one hand, Adam received the gospel from God Elohim. On the other hand, he understood that he and his wife would bear children.

After that, the LORD God made coats of skins for Adam and his wife and clothed them. Since the clothes made of fig leaves could not cover their sin, God provided garments for them. No blood, no pardon—only blood can cleanse sin and its defilement. What God Elohim did also indicated that He would provide a sacrifice for the sin of humanity. When Jesus Christ was killed on the cross, He fulfilled the will of God. Therefore, the whole Bible is complete, and its various scriptures correspond with one another. God Elohim cared for humanity; although they sinned, He gave them salvation immediately after judgment. We should repent and confess our mistakes and sins quickly, turning to God as soon as possible. Praise God Elohim for His mercy and His thorough care!
