Genesis 3:22-24

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

From now on, God Elohim shut up the path to the garden of Eden and prevented them from eating from the tree of life. Since humans ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and sin entered into humanity, there was sin inside them, united with human nature. If humans took from the tree of life, and ate, and lived forever, then humanity would be similar to Satan who was sinful and lived forever. Hence, God Elohim couldn’t finish His plan to make humans become His true descendants.

For this reason, the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden. Therefore, the history of humanity started here, a special kind among all creations, different from good or evil angels and the one true God in some way of essence. Now, humanity entered the endless dust cycle until the new heaven and earth. Humans were made from dust, and then tilled the ground. It was a closed cycle of dust.

Later, God Elohim set up Cherubims, along with a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Cherubims represent the glory of God, flame represents the holy attribute of God, and the sword represents the righteousness of God. Hence, a sinned man cannot approach the tree. Otherwise, they could be killed or destroyed by the sword. But, Jesus Christ opened the way again through death on the cross for all humanity. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ!
