Genesis 6:8-10
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Although the wickedness of humanity was great on the earth, there was still a just and perfect man—Noah—who walked with God, like his ancestor Enoch. Satan had ultimately destroyed humanity and corrupted their minds with evil thoughts. It seemed as though God Elohim had been defeated by Satan, but God had another way to accomplish His plan and overcome His adversary.
The generations of Noah were similar to our current days. Society had developed to a high level of productivity and technology. The social system was complete and advanced at that time. People indulged their evil desires and became numb to committing sins. However, Noah was able to govern himself and keep away from sins and temptations. What he did was similar to Abel—he cared about God’s will, not his own desires.
Because of this, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. He was like salt that prevents bacteria and viruses from spreading. Compared with our current world, few people may think it resembles the days of Noah. But in fact, the world today is even more evil than Noah’s. High technology, convenient social life, modern medical systems, diverse cultures, and entertainment—all these have caused people to become lost, following the path of Cain’s offspring. Therefore, those who seek God should be watchful regarding the timeline of this world, which will be ended by God Elohim.
